Over the weekend we made a trip to visit the families, which included a visit to Grandma & Grandpa’s farm.
Grandma with Kyle on one of his many, many trips down the BEST SLIDE EVER, in the play fort:
Kyle really got a kick out of the chickens (not literally). As I type this, he’s sitting on my lap saying, “CHICKENS!!!!!”
Original Kyle standing next to Chicken Kyle:
Kyle even helped to grade some apples. As I type this, he’s sitting on my lap saying, “APPLES!!!!!”
He picked out one of the best, and here he is waiting to buy it.
The highlight of the trip was the hayride.
Kyle even helped Grandpa drive the big tractor. As I type this, he’s sitting on my lap saying, “PAPAW!!!!!”
All in all, a very fine and memorable trip.
Having one kid hold you down while the other tries to tear your right cheek off your face. And loving every second of it.
Last weekend our street held a block party. The street was closed off, and there was food, a bounce house, and – as a big surprise for the kids – the Oswego Fire Department came by with a fire truck and ambulance.
Kyle immediately wanted to climb on the fire truck. He climbed all the way to the top before we had to pull him down.
He also got to sit inside the firetruck:
and sat inside the ambulance, too. He was very helpful, and tried to show the paramedic how to use some of the equipment.
